Attracting Hummingbirds

Hummingbirds get much of their nourishment from flower nectar and are often attracted to tubular flowers and the color red. Other factors such as supplemental food sources, a water supply such as a fountain or water spray, plenty of sunlight, allowing open space for flight, dense planting for nesting or shelter, and an absence of insecticide will promote attraction.
